Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand is soon expected to update its budget smartphone lineup with the launch of the Redmi 9 series. While Redmi hasn’t confirmed a launch date for the Redmi 9 series yet, the Redmi 9 has been listed by an online retailer. The Redmi 9 will come with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display featuring a waterdrop notch at the top and blue light protection certification. Powering the upcoming budget phone will be a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, which is a massive upgrade over the Snapdragon 439 chipset under the hood of its predecessor. The 12nm chipset will be paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
