Cyberpunk 2077 will give you plenty of reasons to give it a second playthrough or many even three.
We already know it’s not as dense as The Witcher 3, but CD Projekt plans on making that up to you in Cyberpunk 2077 by swapping size out for replayability.
The team said previously there will be plenty to do outside the main campaign will all of the side encounters and smaller quests, but according to a post from reddit user shavod who went to a Cyberpunk 2077 event in Warsaw, who learned as previously stated by CDPR, some of the sidequests will have branching paths which can often tie together with other quests.
This is all part of the desire for players to replay the game. According to what shavod learned, sidequests in the game will lead to even more side quests which will have an impact on even more quests and even the main storyline more so than in The Witcher 3. Because of this, players will find it will be hard to find one playthrough that will be exactly the same.
Replayability will also factor in with the ending as you will have the option to continue once completed. Shavod wasn’t privy to how this would occur, as they were only told the team found a “really cool way” to bring players back into the game upon completion.
The reddit posts also covers how dynamic weather will affect how NPCs react to the changes; how some petty crimes will be ignored by the police; how you will be able to destroy around three-quarters of assets in an area; and more.
CD Projekt Red is also looking into adding modding tools to the game, but aren’t ready to talk about it just yet.
